Web forms

Definition

In CCH Tagetik, it is also possible to work on all types of form, except for ad hoc forms, from the web interface, on the condition that they are enabled as web forms (see New form window). There are two ways to open a web form:

  • in navigation mode from the CCH Tagetik web interface
  • in data entry mode, when related to processes, in the Contributor's processes cockpit (see Contributor Cockpit page).

Note: web forms also remain available for navigation and data entry from the Excel add-in.

Forms can only be designed via the Excel interface.

If you try to open a form constructed on a Datasource that uses DTP parameters, an error message will be displayed and the form will be locked for opening.

Bookmarks in web forms

A bookmark allows you to save the running of a form in navigation or data entry mode. Once a bookmark has been created, the form can be run directly from the Home Page, maintaining the previously defined filters and settings.

IMPORTANT: if the form settings are edited, and the form can no longer be opened as a web form, any bookmarks pointing to the form remain active.

Row drill down function

The row drill down functionality () expands the starting row, generating as many rows as there are children of the starting hierarchy node (or, for "parent" items, as many rows as there are related accounts). The original row is transformed into the subtotal of the details below and formatted as required for subtotals.

Note: row drill down is not supported in the presence of OR filters and cannot be used on columns.

If there are several nodes on the selected row, select the corresponding header cell to run the row drill down on an individual node. To run the drill down on all nodes, select the cell containing the value to be expanded.

Copy and quick insert function

This function is only available in Data Entry mode. In this mode, in web forms with transactional matrices, new rows or columns can be copied and pasted using the quick insert function. To do this, when adjacent cells are selected in the work desktop, the system shows action buttons for copying and pasting with quick insert.

Button Description
Copies the selected cells and changes to .
Inserts new rows below the selected rows or new columns to the right of the selected columns, copying the content of the initial cells in the new ones. Note: the created rows or columns are shown with a blue border until the form is saved.

Note: the Don't expand option defined when the matrix is designed causes entire rows or columns to be inserted in web forms 2.0.

When the quick-insert copy and paste function is used, the pasted rows or columns are editable, while those already present in the form cease to be editable.

Rows inserted in the matrix have the same functionalities as the rows already present and can be editable, protected or non-editable based on the matrix configuration.

Wrap Text option

This option is only available in Data Entry mode. The option can be enabled on the columns of Line by Line transactional matrices. When text is entered, or a form containing the matrix is opened in data entry or navigation mode, the column cells expand to show the all the text. To use this option, a CCH Tagetik style must be applied to the columns.

Comments and attachments in web forms

Both comments and attachments can be associated with web form cells, to provide additional information on the data entered. This function is only available for Line by Line matrices and multidimensional matrices from the Analytical Workspace, and only for users with function 0002642 enabled.

For Line by Line matrices, several documents can be attached to a single comment. For multidimensional matrices, only one attachment per comment can be inserted from the Analytical Workspace.

Comments are visible in all forms for which the defined filters are the same as those of the cell to which the comment was linked.

Cells with which a comment or attachment is associated are identifiable by a red triangle in the top-right corner.
