Cross Filtering
Cross Filtering allows you to select a node/lowest element on a chart and apply the filter to other visuals in the same dashboard for a quick access to the information
It is possible to interact with a graph as follows:
- Selecting one or more elements of the legend
- Selecting one or more bars/columns (bar chart and column chart)
- Selecting one or more lines/areas (Area Chart, Line Chart)
- Select one or more Chart Labels
Interaction with legend elements¶
The selected legend element(s) on a chart are applied as a temporary filter on all other visuals on the same dashboard along with already active filters.
Interaction with bars/columns¶
The bars and columns selected on a chart are applied as temporary filters on all other visuals on the same dashboard along with other temporary filters.
Interaction with Areas/Lines¶
The lines and areas selected on a chart will be applied as a temporary filter on all visuals on the same dashboard along with the temporary filters already applied.
Interaction with chart labels¶
The label selections on a chart will be applied as a temporary filter on all visuals on the same dashboard along with the filters already applied.

IMPORTANT: Selected elements are highlighted and the others are greyed out.

IMPORTANT: You can select one or more elements by holding down the CTRL key and deselect them by clicking on a different element or on the elements themselves.

IMPORTANT: The system shows an icon on the visuals on which cross-filtering is applied. Visuals that do not have the dimension within the reporting view are not affected by cross filtering.
