Purpose of window¶
This window allows you to launch a data processing that duplicates an existing task in the current DTP activities.
Duplication occurs with the following limitations and behaviour:
- In case of error, the entirety of the data processing will be cancelled.
- Operations which have references to dataset columns are only duplicated if the target dataset matches the source dataset.
- For Loading to Analytical Workspace operations, the operation is only copied if the target dataset matches the source dataset.
- For Special Method operations, the values are not copied.
- For Allocation, the details are not copied.
- The system does not support the duplication of the Enrichment with formula field operation or Enrichment with reference table operation field relationships.
- Fields containing filters or formulas such as Target filter, SQL formula, Run condition are copied without any changes, even if they contain references to columns of the target dataset.
- When loading a Write on another dataset, the loading will only be copied if the target dataset/type matches the source dataset/type.
- In case of upload > *Export to Financial Workspace*, the upload will be copied even if no Financial Workspace mapping is configured for the target dataset.
- In case of upload Export Reporting layer to file, the upload will only be copied if the target dataset/type pair matches the source dataset/type pair.
- Field relationships related to operations are duplicated if the target dataset matches the source dataset or if the target dataset contains a fields with the same code as a field of the source dataset.

If there are any fields that do not match and for which no relationship is created, use the Matching Fields Import/Export function after duplicating the operations.
-
The special values N (automatically match remaining fields) and F (apply formula to remaining fields) are copied in any case.
-
A warning message is shown for every operation or loading that is not copied.
Fields in window
If an activity has been selected before this window is opened, the window fields (except Activity code) will be defined automatically with the same values as the selected activity. The values can be edited.
| Element | Description |
|---|---|
| Source DTP | - Allows you to select the DTP containing the activity to be duplicated. The current DTP is selected by default. |
| Source activity | Allows you to select the activity to be duplicated. |
| Activity code | Allows you to enter the code of the new activity. |
| Description | Allows you to enter the description of the new activity. |
| Target dataset | Allows you to select the target dataset for the new activity. Note: only online datasets can be selected. |
| Typology | Allows you to select the target type for the new activity. |
Buttons in the window
| Element | Description |
|---|---|
| OK | Starts the data processing that duplicates the task with the relevant operations and uploads allowed. At the end of the data processing, an audit window shows the results of the data processing. In case of error, the entirety of the data processing is cancelled and the activity will not be duplicated. |
| Reverse | Closes the window without saving changes. |
