Purpose of the page¶
This page allows you to define checking rules to validate data present in a Dataset according to certain criteria.
Attributes tab
| Element | Description |

| Checking rule | Checking rule code, unique for the Analytical Workspace |
| Description | Description of the checking rule |
| Enable | Enables use of the rule when running the DTP. |
| Type | Allows you to select the type of rule so it can only be run when relevant to the check type. The possible values are: - Existence - Coherence - Congruence |
| Operator | Allows you to select the values check operator. The available options will depend on the Type value. |
| Dataset | Allows you to define the dataset or datasource on which to run the check. |
| Filter | Allows you to define an additional filter to limit the data on which to perform the check when running the rule in the DTP operation. |
| Deviation | (only with Type = Congruence) Allows you to define the maximum amount (as an absolute value) of the difference between the calculated values for the data related to Set A and Set B, in order for the check to be correct. |
| Label | Allows you to define a label under which to group a group of rules to be used in the DTP. The field is optional. |
| Condition fields | Allows you to select the dataset fields on which filters can be set. The field is optional. |
| Grouping fields | Allows you to select the dataset fields that define the tuple according to which to group the values to be checked. |

| Values: opens a page to define the values on which to apply the check with the operator for the dataset fields selected as condition fields. See Values page. |
