Excel > CCH® Tagetik > Design > select form > Matrix

Excel > CCH® Tagetik > Design > select form > right click the cell on the work desktop > Tagetik > New Matrix or Modify matrix

Excel > CCH® Tagetik > Design > select form > double click the cell of the matrix in the work desktop

Excel > CCH® Tagetik > Open items > right click the left-hand panel > Matrices > New Matrix

Purpose of window

The Matrix Wizard allows you to create, edit and manage matrices in forms.

What it looks like

The structure of the Matrix Wizard tabs mirrors the general structure of the Excel add-in windows. For more information, see Configuration window structure.

Window tabs

Element Description
Row/column filters Allows you to define CCH Tagetik dimensions as filters in the matrix rows and columns. See Row/column filters tab.
Matrix Filters Allows you to define filters on dimension data at the matrix level. See Matrix Filters tab.
Headers Allows you to define a description for the matrix rows and columns to make them easier to read. See Headers tab.
Matrix options Allows you to manage the following: - form formatting - how cells without values are saved in the database - how to dynamically open rows/columns - Break back options See Matrix options tab.
Overrides Allows you to define overrides in the matrix. See Overrides tab.
Transactional form editor For transactional forms only. Allows you to define the layout of the form. See Transactional form editor tab.
Custom filters Only for transactional forms based on Analytical Workspace datasets. Allows you to create custom filters on the measures of the dataset associated with the form.

Buttons in the window

Element Description
Undo the last action.
Repeat the last action.
Shows a list of the filters used.
If the class attribute has been changed, it realigns the signs of the accounts on the class of which it has been applied.
Allows the user to select the display mode for forms on the panel: with description only, with code only or with both description and code.
Refresh the dimensions tree.

Display options

Element Description
Double click the top border Displays the window full screen/resizes the window if already being displayed full screen.
