General configuration
Introduction¶
As the first step in setting up the consolidation process, it is necessary to tell CCH® Tagetik that you want to set up a consolidation process so that the system can display the following:
- all of the menu keys used for that process, regardless of the roles associated with the users,
- all of the attributes present in the various management windows used for that process.
To do this, it is necessary to activate the consolidation module, see Activate the consolidation process.
Types of financial consolidation¶
| Type | Description |
|---|---|
| Bank/Insurance | The consolidation process relates to banking or insurance consolidation. |
| Single Currency | The consolidation process uses a single currency. |
Consolidation options¶
During the initial configuration of the consolidation process, you can define the following options:
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Consolidation engine | Consolidation engine used. In memory: runs the standard consolidation data processing using “in memory” technology. The proportional calculation, conversion, minorities calculation and equity evaluation data processing are run in sequence. These are based on the data on the original scenario and generate the consolidable amount type. These data processes are run as a single data process (Contribution data processing) which cannot be subdivided. Data processing run on the original, entity or area scenarios is not included Defined by process: uses the consolidation engine specified in the process. Database: Old consolidation engine present in the configurations only for the purpose of compatibility with old installations. It will be completely removed at the end of 2024. All new Processes use the In Memory engine by default, regardless of how this window is configured. |
| Intercompany Financial Investment Assignment (with Sale model) - Custom Dimension for the third-party entity. | The importing of financial investment data reads the account related to the assignment price defined in the configuration of the accounts for intercompany financial investment assignment (Financial investment: sale value entered in the P&L) The accounts model from which the account is read is the one selected on the ownership structure register events (Intercompany assignment management = With sale model”) |
