Management view

Purpose of the page

The Management view allows the user to work on journal headers and rows on the same page.

It consists of 2 panels:

  • a panel showing the list of journal headers matching the filters in the main filter panel
  • a panel displaying the rows of the journal selected in the header list panel

If you prefer to use the “old” data entry mode for journals, where headers and rows are managed in separate windows, you can use the “Bulk Management” button located below the list of headers.

Journal headers

The journal headers panel allows advanced search and header management.

To insert a new journal header, use the 'Create' button; to copy, edit or delete a journal, use the appropriate icons in the header menu.

It is possible to filter the content of the header list in three different ways:

  • using the 'search' field, where any filter applied acts on the journal number
  • using the 'Filter' button, which allows you to filter by the various fields of the journal headers
  • using the quick filters, which allow you to filter headers according to specific information

The following quick filters are available:

Symbol Description
Journals not balanced.
Draft Journals.
Journals with manual rows.
Periodic journals
Journals with attached documents.
Journals with depreciation plan.
Journals with override of standard data processing parameters.
Journals with consolidation scenario filter
Many-to-many-relationship journals (only for consolidation journals)

Journal rows

The rows panel of a journal allows you to work on the rows of the journal selected in the journal header list panel.

It consists of one section containing information about the selected journal, with menus that allow you to perform tasks related to the journal, and another section containing the grid for managing the rows.

The journal number and the most relevant information about the selected journal are displayed at the top.

If the journal submission feature is enabled for the process, a summary indicator of the submission status is displayed to the left of the journal number. By clicking this indicator, a window opens showing the detailed submission status by step, along with the user and the date of the last submission activity performed on that step.

To the right of the journal number, the user and the date of the last activity are displayed.

Further to the right, menus are available that open the journal details and allow you to perform tasks related to the journal.
