Purpose of the page¶
This page allows you to set up the basic rules that govern carry forward operations.

Options on page

| Run carry forward on | Allows you to select the accounts on which to run the carry forward. Process accounts: all parent accounts of variation type control groups belonging to the process of the selected scenario/period and all journals indicated in the header as to be carried forward are carried forward. All accounts: all accounts on which data is present are carried forward, even if not included in the process. |
| Journals rows aggregation type | Allows you to define the type of aggregation for rows of journals on the carry forward scenario. Or not to aggregate the rows in order to keep the same detail as the previous year’s scenario. Aggregate according to dimensions: aggregates the scenario rows by dimension. Aggregate according to dimensions and notes: aggregates the scenario rows by dimension and notes. Don't aggregate: maintain the same details as the previous year’s scenario. Note: aggregating the rows allows you to read the data more easily and reduce the number of records in the database. |
| Allow preliminary data processings on data that belongs to submitted steps. | Allows you to carry forward variations and journals onto accounts belonging to submitted steps; normally, such data is excluded from the carry forward. |
| Carry forward journals: include attachments | Allows you to include any attachments from the previous year when carrying forward a journal. |
