The Tagetik platform offers a variety of flexible tools to support different needs related to the creation, analysis, and distribution of both operational and strategic reports.

Ad-hoc Analysis

It allows users to independently extract any numerical data available in the financial model of a CCH Tagetik application and analyze it using a pivot table—either directly from the web interface or by downloading it as a local Excel file (see Ad-hoc Analysis).

Ad-hoc Report

An Ad-hoc Report is an output form saved locally on the user’s computer. As the name suggests, it is created to meet the specific needs of an individual user and is not intended for centralized or shared use (see Report ad hoc).

System Reports

System Reports display the same information entered through data entry pages, but in read-only mode. These reports do not allow data editing and can also display data from locked scenarios. Their purpose is to show only the data from active scenarios and for the dimensions the user has access to (e.g., scenarios, companies, categories, custom dimensions, accounts). As a result, they typically do not display historical data by default, although such data remains accessible (see System Reports).

XBRL

XBRL (eXtensible Business Reporting Language) is an XML-based language that represents an international standard for the representation and transmission of accounting and financial information (see XBRL).

Magazine

Magazine is a CCH Tagetik reporting solution which allows users to create periodic publications on specific topics (e.g. KPI Analysis, revenues analysis), using forms (see Magazine).
