Entering attachments and notes

  1. On the navigation bar, click : a window will appear to allow you to include attachments and notes. Click Public to insert notes or attachments which can be viewed by all users.
  2. Click Private to insert notes or attachments which can only be viewed by the current user. To download an attachment locally, click .

Note: the type and size of the files you can attach will be defined during the database configuration process.

Filtering the data displayed on the page

  1. On the worksheet, click : a number of fields will be shown that can be filtered.
  2. To view additional filter fields, click and select new fields.
  3. Set the data to be filtered and the criteria (contains, does not contain, etc.).
  4. Once all the desired filter fields have been defined, click Apply: only the data corresponding to the defined filter criteria will be displayed on the worksheet.

Exporting and importing data in Excel format

For massive operations on large quantities of data, it is often useful to export data from CCH Tagetik in an Excel file. This allows you to make use of Excel’s functionalities and automatic procedures and to re-import the data in CCH Tagetik once they have been processed. To do this, follow the procedure below:

  1. On the worksheet, click : the data displayed will be exported in an Excel file.
  2. Open the exported file and make all the desired changes.

IMPORTANT: do not add columns or change the headings. This will invalidate the file and prevent you from importing it. 3. To import a file, on the same worksheet click > Upload, then select the file you want to upload.

Exporting data in Excel format for internal use

It may be useful to export the data from CCH Tagetik into an ‘unprocessed’ Excel file. This allows you to work on the files by exploiting the functions and automated features of Excel.

IMPORTANT: it is not possible to re-import the file you have worked on into CCH Tagetik .

  1. On the worksheet, click : the data displayed will be exported in an Excel file.
  2. Open the exported file and process the data as required.

Create new codes

At various points in the processing on CCH Tagetik you will need to allocate a code to new elements you have created. All ASCII characters are permitted except for: " (double inverted comma) ' (inverted comma) , (comma) * (asterisk) / (slash) : (colon) > (greater than) < (less than) = (equals)? (question mark) \ (backwards slash) ` (accent) | (vertical slash).
