Submission

Submission data processing

Introduction

The submission is the data processing operation that allows users to block the original data, collected or calculated, for each entity. This operation is enabled by default for each process. Its behaviour can be customised by defining specific rules.

When an entity has been submitted, you can reject it, or unblock its data. This is necessary, for example, to edit the data.

Running the data processing

The operation can be run either from the contributor cockpit or the consolidator contributor cockpit, depending on the type of element you want to submit/reject. From the contributor cockpit you can submit/reject both individual entities and contributor nodes. If journal submission is enabled, you can submit/reject by entity from the entity journal data entry window. Submission/rejection of consolidator nodes can be managed from the consolidator cockpit, and the submission/rejection of the contributor data (entity and contributor note) belonging to the consolidator node can also be run. If enabled on the process, entity journal and consolidation journal submissions/rejections can be run from the relative data entry.

What this consists of

The following actions can be run:

  • submit/reject entities, contributor nodes and consolidator nodes on original scenarios. These operations are run directly from the contributor and consolidator cockpits.
  • submit/reject journals. These operations are run from the journal data entry by entity and consolidation journals.

The submission involves the running of diagnostic data processing. If the diagnostic has not been enabled on the process, the running of the submission will be limited to approving and blocking the data.

Submission and scenarios/periods

In single-submission processes, submission/rejection takes place at the same time on all the scenarios/periods linked to the process.

If scenarios/periods are added to/removed from the process when the data collection and submission activities have already started, it is recommended to reset the submission states, using the Reset submission states function from the Contributor cockpit (see Actions section of Detail summary and step tabs )
