Data processing types

Field Description
Amortisation/Depreciation Manages the cost of a multi-year asset by distributing it among the years of the same asset’s useful life. See Amortisation/Depreciation.
Financial investment reclassification Reclassifies financial investment accounts according to the owned entity’s consolidation type on the various consolidation scenarios. See Financial investment reclassification.
Equity pick-up Revalues the value of an owner entity’s financial investments based on a current value of the corresponding portion of the owned companies’ net equity. See Equity pick-up.
IC spreading Specifies the node of the grouping of IC elimination logics that includes the logics to be processed. Allows you to run data processing for IC spreading, which writes off the existing IC declarations and reallocates the amounts to CTP custom dimension 2 based on the declarations made by the counterparty, maintaining the original unbalanced amounts. This information is only visible if the declaring entity/counterparty relationships (“Relationship Type”) are set to “By entity - custom dimension 2” or “By entity - synthetic custom dimension 2” in the data entry rules for journals or overridden on the process. For details on how to set the data entry rules, see . For details of how to override these rules, see .
IFRS5 This is an accounting standard which sets out accounting practices for assets held for sale, how to report discontinued operations in the financial statements, and related supplementary information. For details, see .
Intercompany Asset Assignment This automatically generates consolidation journals that must be made in the event that an asset is transferred within the group, eliminating the capital gain/capital loss recorded by the selling company and adjusting the acquiring company’s depreciation journals in order to reconstruct the historical cost and depreciation fund of the asset within the group (return to group historical cost method). Note: this operation has no effect on consolidation (see ).

Amortisation/Depreciation

Field Description
on Entities Automatically generates the depreciation rates of an intangible or tangible asset present in a journal, when a depreciation plan on original scenarios has been defined for that asset. The data processing is performed on the contributor categories.
on group Automatically generates the depreciation rates of an intangible or tangible asset present in a journal, when a depreciation plan on original scenarios has been defined for that asset. The data processing is performed on the consolidator categories.

Financial investment reclassification

Field Description
on Entities The purpose of financial investment reclassification data processing is to reclassify FS data on the various financial investment accounts according to the consolidation type of the owned entity. The FS amount is reclassified by means of entity journals. An entity journal is created for every consolidation scenario in which the entity is present.
on group Financial investment reclassification data processing also has the purpose of reclassifying the financial investment accounts on the relative eliminations depending on the consolidation type of the owned entity on the various consolidation scenarios. In every consolidation scenario to be fed, the system copies the adjusted elimination journal, filtering it based on the classifier indicated in the Account classifier code. Note: the rule used for the deconsolidation of the current process is the general rule defined by the Data Processing > Advanced Consolidation > F.I. Reclassification tile.

Equity pick-up

Field Description
on Entities Generates adjustments by entity to adjust the carrying value of the financial investments on a pro-rata basis in relation to the net equity of the owned entities. The journal relates to the owner entity.
on consolidation area Uses the same logics and setup as the original scenario data processing. However, the calculation input data are the data converted into the consolidation currency and not the original data. Entries are therefore generated on the Consolidable amount type within the entity journal generated on the original scenario.
Look through on entities The look through data processing is run on original scenarios at the end of the pick-up data processing, if Fair value and look through has been selected in the pick-up rules.
Look through on consolidation area Data processing similar to the pick-up/fair value data processing of the original scenario that acts on the consolidation journals.
