Configuration Deployment Tool (CDT)

Introduction

The Configuration Deployment Tool (CDT) is an innovative solution designed to simplify and speed up the transport of metadata and configurations between different environments (e.g. from development to test or production environments). This tool eliminates the need to export and import the entire database, while ensuring consistency, synchronisation and data integrity across environments.

Supported features and functionality

The tool features a completely revamped and intuitive user interface that enables system administrators to work efficiently. It allows them to directly select the functional objects of interest, without requiring any specific knowledge of tables, fields, or the underlying database structure. This approach reduces operational complexity and significantly improves the user experience, making it simpler, smoother and more rewarding.

The tool currently supports the management of theAnalytical Information Hub objects and, in future releases, will be progressively extended to also include the main functional objects of the Financial Workspace, offering increasingly comprehensive support for cross-environmental configuration needs.
