Lookup Tables

A lookup table allows you to define a logical structure that creates mapping between one or several input values (input ETL dimensions) and one or several output values (output ETL dimensions). These ETL dimensions relate to fields present in the staging table.

These tables are useful in Routine transformation tasks to transcode the extracted data, making them ready for loading.

Example 1

For amounts present on several general accounting accounts that must be aggregated onto a single account in CCH Tagetik’s chart of accounts:
