A&O (Adjustments and Overrides)

(Relevant to SCP) Ofter referring to the A&O Table. With A&O you can modify your forecast using filters, adjustments, and overrides (for example, events and promotions).

ABC classification

(Relevant to SCP) Ranking system to identify and group items in terms of how useful they are for achieving business goals.

Account Dimension

The Account represents the primary nature of any information stored within CCH Tagetik. Any measure or metric (whether financial or statistical) under analysis can be opened on the Account Dimension.

Account Reclassification selection

Data processing that operates on adjustments, on IC amounts and on Gross amounts deducted from IC amounts.

ACT (Adjusted Covered Taxes)

(Relevant to GMT) Tax expenses as reported in the qualified financial accounts adjusted according to the GloBe rules.

Activity

(Relevant to ESG Solution) Indicates the codified business run by a Work Breakdown Element. The manufacture of cement, or the manufacture of soda ash are some examples.

Activity Registry

(Relevant to ESG Solution) Indicates the list of all the Activities covered by the NFU, even the ones that are not EU Taxonomy-eligible.

Actual data

Real, observed, or measured values of data as opposed to estimated, forecasted, or planned values. For example, in a financial context, actual data would include the real revenue, expenses, and profits recorded in the accounting books, as opposed to budgeted or projected figures

Ad-hoc analysis

A feature that enables users to retrieve any numerical data from the CCH Tagetik financial model. Users can analyze the data directly through a web-based pivot table or export it to Microsoft Excel.

Administrator (or Admin) User

  • (General purpose) User who manages users permissions and access, maintains the application, and ensures data flows correctly. They configure the data model, handle imports/exports and/or data processing configuration.\n\n - (Relevant to Intelligent Disclosure) User responsible for the full lifecycle of document management within CCH Tagetik. This includes creating and maintaining document roots, document sections, outlines.

Advanced Analytics Execute (in Execution Phase)

(Relevant to Machine Learning) Object that stores all information about the predict phase or the execute phase of a model.

Advanced Analytics Models Library

(Relevant to Objective AI Layer) The list of all the ML (Machine Learning) Models available for an application database.

Advanced selection

(Relevant to Advanced Reporting) A selection type used to retrieve a custom selection of filters in rows, columns, or tab filters. It requires a scripting language definition.

Aggregation structure

Structures used to organize dimension elements. These structures are represented as tree-like structures, where the dimension elements are the tree leaves, and the intermediate aggregation elements are called nodes

AIH (Analytic Information Hub)

One of two customizable workspaces of CCH Tagetik primarily utilized for analysis purposes. It provides access to an unlimited number of dimensions and custom data tables, which automatically handle data segmentation. It is structured into Analytical Workspaces (AWs), serving as containers to define customized data models.

Amount Object

(Relevant to Intelligent Disclosure solution) Feature that allows users to insert a numeric value retrieved from an external source.

Amount type

Reporting-specific Dimension that identifies the type of data retrieved or entered in a given cell of a form. This Dimension determines the correct table in the database where such data is retrieved or stored. Examples of Amount types include Original, Converted, Proportional, and Consolidable.

Annual Profit

(Relevant to SCP) Amount of sales minus any costs associated with inventory management of the item.

Annual Revenue

(Relevant to SCP) Amount of money made for this item in a given year before costs or expenses are taken out.

Anomalies

(Relevant to Objective AI Layer) Data points of the prediction that falls outside the confidence range.

AP (Assortment Planning)

(Relevant to SCP) Assortment planning can be viewed as the strategic process of selecting the most suitable product lineup for the business.

API (Application Programming Interface)

(Relevant to RestFUL API) A contract between different software applications that allows these applications to communicate and send data back and forth without accessing a user interface.

API Security Key

(Relevant to SCP) An API security key is a unique identifier used to authenticate and authorize access to an Application Programming Interface (API). It provides an additional layer of security when using the client/API.

Application database

Database in which all data and data model dimensions related to a given application are stored.

Area consolidation

(Relevant to EUT Consolidation) Consolidation data processing that includes any consolidation data processing, including overridden values on proportional, converted, and consolidable amounts.

Area profile

(Relevant to ProcessGovernance & User Rights) Typically assigned to placeholder users, to whom roles and restrictions are applied. Administrators can associate area profiles with users to limit the number of functions and data that can be enabled for them. The area profile thus acts as an upper boundary for the possible authorizations of the associated user.

Ask AI

(Relevant to Intelligent Insights) A feature that allows users to ask questions from the Dashboard hub in their preferred language and automatically produces the best visualization of the answers in the dashboard, thanks to the power of generative AI.

ASP (Average Selling Price)

(Relevant to SCP) The average cost per unit. This number is used to compute the annual revenue.

Asset Depreciation

Data processing that calculates the depreciation plan of new investments

Audit

A function that tracks all the activities performed and all errors that occurred over time within CCH Tagetik. The audit allows users to track all the steps of the activities, whether directly run by the system or with user intervention, carried out during a given time interval.

Automapping

(Relevant to Objective AI Layer) An AI process that predicts the mapping between input fields and output fields based on the descriptions of the fields

AW Migration

(Relevant to Intelligent Insights) Data processing that upgrades an Analytical Workspace version from non-indexed (V0) to indexed (V2). This update enables the Analytical Workspace to perform reporting operations.

BAC (Business Activity Code)

(Relevant to ESG Solution) Code required as input from the client for a given Counterparty to classify it.

Balance sheet

A financial statement representing a company's financial position at the close of a specific accounting period.

Balancing

(Relevant to EUT Consolidation) A data processing method that allows the system to automatically balance unbalanced amounts below a specified threshold

Base Property

(Relevant to SCP) Static properties used in records within the software.

Bass

(Relevant to SCP) An adoption model type derived from the idea the population can be divided into innovators and imitators.

BEPS (Base Erosion and Profit Shifting)

(Relevant to GMT) Practice of transferring profit to low tax country to minimize tax.

BI (Business Intelligence)

(Relevant to Power BI) Set of technological processes for collecting, managing, and analyzing organizational data to yield insights that inform business strategies and operations.

Billing line

(Relevant to CFP) Feature that enables users to view the exact moment when the sold amounts are invoiced.

BOM (Bill Of Materials)

(Relevant to SCP) Extensive list of raw materials, components, and assemblies required to construct, manufacture, or repair a product or service.

BOM Part records

(Relevant to SCP) Records that track the historical data of individual parts used to assemble products. There are no forecasts associated with these records.

BOM Resource records

(Relevant to SCP) Records that represent resources, like painting, labor or assembly, needed to produce a product.

BP&F (Budget Planning & Forecasting)

A CCH Tagetik solution enhanced by a predictive analytics engine. It enables planners to see the cross-functional impacts of plans, drill into profitability drivers, play out what-if scenarios, and produce accurate, multidimensional, and non-linear forecasts

Break back

(Relevant to Advanced Reporting) Reporting feature that allows you to enter data at the hierarchy node level in Data Entry forms.

Budget

It refers to the financial management process where organizations set financial goals and define strategies to achieve them.

Built - in data processing

(Relevant to Financial Modeling & Reporting) Functions that are readily available in a programming language, application, or other tools that users can access directly. CCH Tagetik includes built-in logic for some typical CPM process utilities

Built-in logics

(Relevant to EUT Consolidation) Pre-built data processing method that allows for the implementation of typical CPM process utilities.

Business cycle

The time period to complete data collection. It determines the submission type, whether single or by Scenario/Period.

Business Cycles

(Relevant to Data Collection) Defines the Scenario/Periods involved in the data collection process.

Business workflow

(Relevant to Data Collection) Roadmap of the activities required to complete data collection. It can include one or more steps.

CAGR (Compound Annual Growth Rate)

(Relevant to SCP) The rate of return that would be required for an investment to grow from its beginning balance to its ending balance, assuming the profits were reinvested at the end of each year of the investment's lifespan.

Calculation logics

(Relevant to EUT Consolidation) data processing methods used to evaluate an account based on formulas derived from other accounts. The results of these calculations are then stored in the CCH Tagetik application database.

CapEx (Capital Expenditure)

The amount of funds that a company uses to buy, upgrade, maintain, and implement its operational assets such as buildings, land, plant, technology, or equipment.

Carry forward

(Relevant to EUT Consolidation) A data processing method that allows users to initialize the initial balances of balance sheet accounts with the final balance from the previous year.

Carrying value

The value that the financial asset has on the balance sheet of the participating company.

Category

System dimension that allows users to classify and segment data, facilitating data search, display, and analysis.

CbCR (Country by Country Reporting)

(Relevant to GMT) Standardized financial report showing revenue, results, taxes, and other information per jurisdiction.

Cell edit

(Relevant to Reporting) Feature letting Users to enter gross balance data in an editable cell of a form and specify certain additional information.

Cell editability

(Relevant to Data collection and EUT Consolidation) Cell attribute indicating if a cell within a form has been defined as unspecified, editable, not editable, or protected.

Cell field

(Relevant to Output Reporting and Data collection) Feature used to recover and display in a form the attributes of the dimensions used as filters.

Cell property

(Relevant to Output Reporting and Data collection) Feature used to display every piece of information related to a cell within a form.

CFP (Cash Flow Planning)

CCH Tagetik module designed to manage financial risk and optimize liquidity. It enables organizations to forecast and analyze cash flow based on actual or projected revenues, run simulations, and perform what-if analyses. This helps improve visibility into the net financial position, enhance decision-making, and ensure efficient cash management.

Change over time

(Relevant to SCP) A measurement of how long it takes to transition a machine or production line from working on one product to another.

Change tracker

(Relevant to Intelligent Disclosure solution) A functionality that tracks the changes made to the objects in the document over time.

Chart Object

(Relevant to Intelligent Disclosure solution) Item that allows you to retrieve charts from either a CCH Tagetik database or an external Excel file and insert them in the document as images.

Chart of accounts

structured list of all accounts used to record a company’s financial transactions. It categorizes accounts into assets, liabilities, equity, revenue, and expenses, each with a unique code for easy identification and organization.

Check box Object

(Relevant to Intelligent Disclosure) Item that allows you to insert a check box wherever you prefer in the document.

Check expression

(Relevant to Data collection) A named check expression (in web) or validation (in Excel) used in data entry forms to validate and check that the entered data is correct before saving.

Checkpoint

(Relevant to SCP) Copy of a Forecast and its history. They are typically created on a monthly cadence.

CI (Credit Institution)

(Relevant to ESG) The addressees of the EU Taxonomy for the Banking part.

COGS (Cost of Goods Sold)

(Relevant to SCP) The direct costs attributable to the production of the goods sold by a company.

Concat field

(Relevant to Objective AI Layer) Machine Learning (ML) field used when prediction is based on a concatenation of multiple descriptions.

Concurrency level+46:50

(Relevant to Advanced Reporting) Form setting that allows you to set the maximum number of activities (Matrix, Query, Template) that can be run simultaneously.

Conditional editability feature

(Relevant to Advanced Reporting) Row or column filter property that lets you connect the actual editability to a condition based on other matrix rows/columns.

Confidence interval

(Relevant to Objective AI Layer) A statistical concept providing a range of values within which the true value of a population parameter is likely to lie, with a certain level of confidence. The confidence interval consists of an interval estimate, typically expressed as two values—a lower limit and an upper limit—around a point estimate (such as a sample mean or proportion).

Consolidated management financial statement

(Relevant to EUT Consolidation) A document that sets out the financial position, allowing the parent company to analyze the group's performance. It serves two main purposes: 1) Analyzing both budgetary and management information, including non-accounting and financial details; 2) Analyzing financial statement data more frequently and in advance of the closing of individual company financial statements.

Consolidation area

(Relevant to EUT Consolidation) Set of methods and tasks used to consolidate the financial statements of multiple entities in compliance with shared accounting principles.

Consolidation currency

Currency in which the consolidated figures are generated. It generally corresponds to the currency of the parent company (but not necessarily).

Consolidation data processing

(Relevant to EUT Consolidation) CCH Tagetik data processing used to perform consolidation-specific calculations of data.

Consolidation financial statements

(Relevant to EUT Consolidation) Financial statements presenting the assets, liabilities, equity, income, expenses, and cash flows of a parent company and its subsidiaries as a single economic entity.

Consolidation scenario

A Scenario that specifies the economic and financial situation of a group of enterprises, including the parent company, the companies to be consolidated, the method of consolidation, the consolidation currency, and the original scenario from which to read the data. "Consolidated" data are stored on this type of scenario that cannot be changed manually

Consolidator

User responsible for managing all activities related to consolidation nodes within the application.

Consolidator cockpit

(Relevant to EUT Consolidation) Process cockpit view that allows consolidators to manage all data collection activities associated to consolidation nodes in a simple and structured manner, monitor in real time the activity progress of every consolidation and sub-consolidation node, and supervise the status of consolidation data processing.

Constituent entity

(Relevant to GMT) Any separate business unit of an Multinational Enterprise Group (MNE Group) that is included in the consolidated financial statements of the MNE Group for financial reporting purposes.

Contribute (Output Train Contribution dataset example)

(Relevant to Objective AI Layer solution) Field that shows, for every date, how much the movements of the impacting variables move the value of the target predicted from its mean.

Contributor User

  • User type who can collect and check data, run data processing, validate and submit and approve it. \n\n- (Relevant to the Intelligent Disclosure solution) User type who can collect and check data, create objects, validate and approve content, and export, publish, and maintain documents over time.

Control Group

(Relevant to Financial Modeling & Reporting) It associates two sets of accounts and defines rules for diagnostics, balancing, or coherence between them.

Conversion

Data processing that converts amounts, entity and consolidation journals into the consolidation currency.

Conversion Factors

(Relevant to ESG Solution) Coefficients to convert a Unit of Measure into a different Unit of Measure, related to the same information to be disclosed (e.g. the Coefficient among Kilograms and Tons).

Counter

(Relevant to Data Collection and Output Reporting) Dimension used on the rows of line-by-line (transactional) matrices. Each element of Counter represents a different record of the table that the matrix represents. Available in list of dimensions in case of creation of a line-by-line form.

CPM (Corporate Performance Management)

Methodologies, metrics, processes, and systems used to monitor and manage a company’s performance. CCH Tagetik is a Software for Corporate Performance Management.

Credit terms

(Relevant to CFP) rules that define how and when financial entries should be recorded for costs, collections, asset purchases, and receivables/payables in the initial balance sheet.

CRM (Customer Relationship Management)

A software system helping business owners easily track all communications and nurture relationships with their leaders and clients. Salesforce is an example of CRM.

Cross filtering

(Relevant to Intelligent Insights) A visual feature used to define a filter affecting multiple visuals at the same time.

CSV (Comma-Separated Value)

Simple file format used to store tabular data, such as a spreadsheet or database. Files in the CSV format can be imported to and exported from programs that store data in tables, such as Microsoft Excel.

CTP (Counterparties)

(Relevant to EUT Consolidation) The opposite parties to be declared in a Intercompany transaction.

CTP eliminations (Counterparty Eliminations)

(Relevant to EUT Consolidation) Data processing used to generate an elimination entry through a consolidation journal among the accounts defined in the pre-determined logic.

Currency

National currency in which a transaction or a financial statement is prepared.

Custom dimension

Dimension that allows users to respond to specific business model needs (products, customers, cost centers, etc.). CCH Tagetik lets users define and manage up to five custom dimensions.

Custom KPI

(Relevant to ESG Solution) A KPI customized on the client’s needs, to be set from scratch.

Cycle

(Relevant to Objective AI Layer) Recurring pattern or sequence of events that is not necessarily fixed to a specific time frame in time series forecasting. Cycles are typically longer-term patterns, without a fixed interval, that capture periodic fluctuations in data.

Data collection

(Relevant to EUT Consolidation) Process of gathering data used in business decision-making, strategic planning, and other purposes.

Data entry

The Input of data into the application database. In CCH Tagetik, it can be managed via Excel or the Web. The action is available for datasets, facilitating the upload of data.

Data entry mode

Mode to access a form whereby the user inserts new data and modifies existing data within a data entry form.

Data integration

(Relevant to EUT Consolidation) Process of gathering data from multiple sources to provide users with a unified view.

Data mart

Subset of a data warehouse focused on a particular business aspect, department, or subject area.

Data processing

Process that takes action on data. By reading input data, processing generates output data based on rules built in (i.e., coded within the system) or defined by the user.

Data warehouse

Large storage of data accumulated from a wide range of sources within a company.

Database

Organized collection of data that allows for efficient storage, retrieval, and management.

Database hints

(Relevant to Advanced Reporting) A mechanism used by the database engine to generate a query plan to retrieve data.

Dataset

A structured set of data, usually organized in a table format. In CCH Tagetik AIH, a dataset can include data model dimensions, numbers, text, dates and attachments.

Datasource

Logical definitions (Views) based on queries that retrieve data at runtime,\nthe values of which are not therefore saved in the database. Datasource queries can refer to any data in the database, not just dataset field data. Queries can be on the database (current connection), or on other DBs if the necessary permission is possessed.

DATI_NOTE

(Relevant to Advanced Reporting) CCH Tagetik data model table used to store text descriptions related to financial data.

DATI_SALDI_LORDI

(Relevant to Financial Modeling & Reporting) The gross amounts table in the database. This table allows amounts to be shown in both local and other currencies.

DC (Distributor Center)

(Relevant to SCP) Distribution centers are logistics facilities that store finished goods before they're picked and packed to fulfill customer orders. This term is used with Balance Inventory Using MEIO.

DE form (Data Entry form)

(Relevant to Data Collection) Excel form that allows you to add rows to a dataset. Used to adjust and add small volumes of data.

Deconsolidation

(Relevant to EUT Consolidation) Data processing that deconsolidates both the amounts and the journals present on the relevant entities.

Dependent parameter

(Relevant to Advanced Reporting) A custom parameter whose elements list depends on another parameter’s value.

Design mode

Mode that allows the user to modify the structure of a form.

Detail Accounts

Sub-elements within a general ledger account that enable the classification of financial data at a more granular level. In CCH Tagetik, these elements are used to break down account balances into meaningful categories, supporting detailed analysis, reconciliation, and reporting.

DHO (Days On Hand)

(Relevant to SCP) Number of days' worth of inventory before stockout.

Diagnostic

(Relevant to EUT Consolidation) Tool that allows Users to check the accuracy of collected data.

Dictionary

Logical definition of a table containing workspace data organized into columns, which may include financial or analytical dimensions and measure fields. Each workspace can contain one or several datasets. A Dictionary provides the ability to create custom descriptions for row/column/tab filters. It is mostly used to describe formula fields. Dictionaries can be set as a property of row/column and tab filter from the related wizard.

Dimension

One of the axis of analysis to identify a measure in a database table. The entire list of dimensions is called metadata.

Dimension attribute Object

(Relevant to Intelligent Disclosure) Attribute that allows users to insert a text property retrieved from a CCH Tagetik database into the document.

Disclosure

  • (Relevant to Intelligent Disclosure) The process used to create annual reports providing a picture of the company’s business, market position, strategy, performance, and future plans, and to provide this information to the company’s stakeholders.\n\n- (Relevant to ESG Solution) This concept is linked to Purpose and KPI. Purpose, Disclosure and KPI are concepts in a hierarchy-like relationship, with the Disclosure being always the top level, Purpose being the medium level and KPI the lowest one. Each Disclosure contains one or more KPI(s).

Dividends

(Relevant to EUT Consolidation) The process of calculating and distributing dividends to owner entities as compensation for their invested capital.

DNSH (Do Not Significantly Harm)

(Relevant to ESG Solution) Minimum requirements an activity must be compliant with concerning the other 5 ESG objectives, after fulfilling the first primary objective.

Document activity

(Relevant to Intelligent Disclosure) Single part (chapter, section, paragraph, etc.) that makes up the document type and can enclose user-entered content (text, images, tables) or simply be an organizational element with no content.

Document currency

(Relevant to Intelligent Disclosure) Currency in which a certain transaction has been executed (regardless of the currency of the company that executed it).

Document part

(Relevant to Intelligent Disclosure) The sub-parts forming a document root. A document part can be:\n•\tA parent document when it is made of one or more lower-level documents. \n•\tA child document when it is part of an upper-level document.

Document root

(Relevant to Intelligent Disclosure) A Word document used by Intelligent Disclosure contributors to collect and publish financial and non-financial information at the end of the disclosure process.

Document structure

(Relevant to Intelligent Disclosure) The arrangement of a document root and, if any, the related document parts.

Document type

(Relevant to Intelligent Disclosure) Type of document users want to make such as Annual Report, Board Book, 10Q-10K, etc. The document type is a template in which the basic information End users use to create the MS Word document (comments, tables, charts, etc.).

Draft journals

(Relevant to ProcessGovernance & User Rights) Journals with a “draft” status that do not affect data processing or reporting outcomes.

Drill down

(Relevant to Financial Modeling & Reporting) A functionality that allows users to navigate through layers of data to view detailed information.

Drill-through query

(Relevant to Advanced Reporting) On-demand query that allows users to analyze details beyond the CCH Tagetik data model, including ETL tables and Dataset partitions.

Driving dimension

A CCH Tagetik dimension driving a specific process step.

(Relevant to Intelligent Disclosure) CCH Tagetik functionality allowing users to insert a drop-down list wherever you prefer in the document.

DSN (Data Source Name)

(Relevant to SCP) A file path or directory path used by most databases to identify the location where the database resides.

DTP (Data Transformation Package)

(Relevant to Data Collection) Analytical Workspace engine of calculation and transformation of data and metadata.

DTP activity

(Relevant to Data Collection) Set of operations that acts on the same target dataset.

DTP operation

(Relevant to Data Collection) The basic element of the DTP data processing. A template where you can define the basic information you need to create the Document root used by contributors to collect financial and non-financial information.

Dynamic Form

A form whose structure is determined at runtime. Both matrices and tab filters can be set as dynamic.

Edit Field Data

(Relevant to SCP) User permission that controls the ability to edit any record properties on the left side of the property down menu.

Editability properties

(Relevant to Data Collection) Settings that determine whether a cell is unspecified, editable, not editable, or protected.

Element of Detail

(Relevant to ESG Solution) The lower-level concept of Level of Detail. Levels of Detail in ESG are not linked to Accounts in the Financial Workspace, but they are Analytical Dimensions. They represent information linked to Quantitative KPIs. A Level of Detail is split into more Elements of Detail.

Elimination journals

(Relevant to EUT Consolidation) Consolidation journal type that eliminates intra-group transactions.

Elimination logic

(Relevant to EUT Consolidation) Logic used by CCH Tagetik to manage and simplify the automatic elimination of all declared IC amounts.

End user

A CCH Tagetik user who uploads data, executes data processing, and conducts reporting activities.

Endpoint

(Relevant to RestFUL API) The point of access to external resources including OData service or REST API URL.

Entity

CCH Tagetik dimension that specifies the name of the company generating financial statements. It can also represent any organizational unit.

Entity and group consolidation

(Relevant to EUT Consolidation) Consolidation data processing that manipulates original data in the local currency, as well as entities and journals.

Entity journals

(Relevant to EUT Consolidation) Single entity data representing corrections to the financial statement original amounts of individual entities.

EOQ (Economic Order Quantity)

(Relevant to SCP) The optimum quantity of an item to be purchased at one time

EOQ ROL (Economic Order Quantity Re-Order Level)

(Relevant to SCP) Type of strategy which specifies an order quantity that minimizes the total holding and order costs.

ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning)

(Relevant to Data Collection and Supply Chain Planning) A software system that helps businesses manage and integrate their core processes. ERP finance modules offer many of the same features as accounting software, such as tools for accounts receivable and payable, general ledger, expense management, reporting and analysis.

ESG (Environmental Social Governance)

CCH Tagetik ESG & Sustainability software enables you to comply with ESG requirements, frameworks, and regulations while optimizing sustainability planning.

Estimation method

(Relevant to Objective AI Layer) Methods involving using statistical techniques to calculate or infer unknown parameters based on observed data. These methods help quantify uncertainties and make informed predictions or inferences about the underlying characteristics of a population.

ETL (Extract, Transform & Load)

Completely configurable engine able to extract data from external sources such as Excel, text files, data warehouse, ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft), or from a CCH Tagetik database. Fill Rate

(Relevant to SCP) Value may be calculated based on the Strategy record in place. To always have them in stock, set this to 100%. The fill rate is the percent of orders filled from inventory with no back orders. If the fill rate is less than 100%, users may need to force a stock-out to achieve the desired result. For example, if there was no uncertainty in demand, then a zero safety stock would yield a 100% fill rate. If the fill rate target is 99% the safety stock must be negative. It may sound strange to plan to stock out, but it delivers a profit-optimized result when there is no uncertainty in demand.

Financial account

Accounts including all measures of tracking financial activities and can be divided into profit & loss and balance sheet accounts according to their position in the balance.

Financial consolidation

Rejection

Reorder Point (ROP)

Reporting language

Language in which metadata element descriptions are displayed in CCH Tagetik reporting. To enable reporting language management, at least one additional reporting language must be defined in the Repository Configuration from the actions menu within the Localization tab.

Restriction

Result account

Balance sheet result account or income statement result account used by the system to calculate the yearly net result.

Role

A Role defines the activities that a User can do in CCH Tagetik. A role is described by a list of functions, that is a list of simple operations of the application that a user can choose and perform. Typically the functions are: management of tables, data processing, report; usually a function corresponds to a menu key or to a window menu. For each function, the Role defines if the User can use each function fully, only in display mode (as far as tables are concerned)or if he cannot use it at all.

Routine

It is the minimum data processing unit that can be run in an ETL process and contains all the information for extracting, transforming and loading the data.

Runtime parameter

Parameters defined in the DTP that can identify a value or an SQL formula, which will be resolved at runtime and can be used in any DTP field that accepts SQL formulas.

Safe harbor

(Relevant to GMT) A temporary rule to protect MNE's and administration against unnecessary administrative burdens during the first years of the GloBE rules.

SBIE (Substance-based Income Exclusion)

(Relevant to GMT) Cumulation of the Payroll- and Asset carve out. Meant to protect MNEs who have made substantial investments in personnel or assets in a jurisdiction.

Scenario

A System Dimension in the CCH Tagetik database, typically used in conjunction with the Period Dimension. It represents both the concepts of time and data version.

SCIM (System for Cross-Domain Identity Management)

(Relevant to RestFUL API) Protocol built on top of REST Architecture which defines how user identities and their attributes are managed and exchanged across different systems.

Seasonality

(Relevant to Objective AI Layer) In time series forecasting it refers to repeating patterns or fluctuations in the data that occur at regular intervals within a specific time frame, such as daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly.

Securities

(Relevant to ESG) The investments made by the Credit Institution against counterparties.

Segment

(Relevant to Advanced Reporting) Properties of the entity and accounts dimension. Allows you to view intercompany data related to the entities of an entity node called a segment. This property’s default value is defined in advanced form settings and used on all the tab filters set on entity dimensions, custom dimension 2 or the counterparty entity. This value can be overridden when designing the matrix.

Smart Insight

Feature that allows users to extract information from the application database of CCH Tagetik directly from the browser in a simple and fast manner.

Snapshot scenario

A special scenario used to capture and preserve data at a specific point in time and prevent any further modifications.

Specific Elements

(Relevant to ESG Solution) Elements of Detail with a specific description that do not need a further translation (e.g., “2049” is the Specific Element for the Generic Element “Target Year 1”, or “Fossil Sources” is a Specific Element for the “Type of Source” Level of Detail)-

Spreading

Functionality that calculates monthly values from existing annual values based on user-defined conditions. Amounts can be computed using methods for forecasting and statistical analysis.

Spreading: 4-4-5 / 4-5-4 / 5-4-4

Distributes the total value over the number of weeks in a month, for quarterly groups. For example, 4-4-5 applied over the quarter from January to March indicates that January and March have 4 weeks, while March has 5 weeks.

Spreading: based on scenario

Functionality that allows users to distribute the new value based on the values present in another scenario, from among those linked to the current one.

Spreading: custom

Functionality that allows users to specify a customized distribution rule for the total value over the periods. The user is free to add specific rules.

Spreading: proportional

Functionality that calculates how to apportion the inserted total value based on the monthly values existing on the application database, namely according to the values with which the form was generated.

Standard Reporting engine

(Relevant to Advanced Reporting) An engine based on complex SQL and desired filters. Transformations are carried out within the database engine.

Statutory consolidated financial statements

(Relevant to EUT Consolidation) Statutory consolidated financial statements are legally mandated reports that combine financial data from a parent company and its subsidiaries, offering a unified view of their financial position.

Step

Sub-sovereign

Train Advanced Analytics (in the Training Phase)

Train Label

(Relevant to Objective AI Layer) A Long-term pattern or movement in data, in the context of time series forecasting, showing a general direction of change over time. Identifying and understanding trends is crucial for forecasting future values in a time series.

TSC (Technical Screening Criteria)

Turnover

Typology

A function that allows users to view the tables of Cash Flow Planning simulated events based on the data input tables (P&L, projected variations, balance sheet, accounting entries, and objects) and transform them into double entries.
